Background

Dr. Elan Rosenblat is an accomplished ophthalmologist and ocular surgeon. He studied biology at Yeshiva University where he graduated with honors. As an undergraduate, he organized health outreach programs and completed critical research at Columbia University and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  He then attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he continued to excel and received the Dean’s Recognition Award, given to the top ten percent of the class. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. As a resident, he was noted to have exceptional surgical skills and completed the highest number of cataract surgeries in the history of the program.  During his time at Rutgers, he continued to pursue research presenting at national conferences and publishing in the journal of cataract and refractive surgery. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in Corneal, Cataract, and Laser Vision Correction surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. He then worked as a Corneal and Cataract Special at the University of Texas Medical Branch, training residents. Dr. Rosenblat has been in private practice in the South Florida area since 2016.
